Real-time credit card processing means the customer's credit card is authorized for the purchase when they place their order. Here are the basic steps you need to enable your site with real-time credit card processing.

Sign-up for e-Commerce Hosting      Click the "Order Now" button to access the worldwidebusinesssolutions online order form. Select either e-Commerce or Reseller as your hosting package. Obtain Merchant Account    A merchant account is a financial service that approves and transfers funds between the card holder's bank and your bank. Using a merchant account is necessary for high-volume credit card processing. If your business already accepts credit cards, you probably already have a merchant account. If you do not already have a merchant account contact Sales for a merchant service provider.

Activate Internet Payment Gateway   The final step to gain real-time credit card processing is to activate an Internet Payment Gateway. An Internet Payment Gateway takes your credit card information from the web to your merchant account for processing. SmartECart currently supports AuthorizeNet™ as an Internet Payment Gateway. Your merchant service provider can usually open an account with AuthorizeNet for you as well.
